The Renovation of the Washroom Facility at Ambagahahena Maha Vidyalaya, Kirama is an extended project implemented by the Trust following the completion of the Musical Instruments Repair and New Instruments Donation. The school is located in the Walasmulle Education Zone in the Hambantota District. The main objective of this project is to improve the basic sanitation facilities available to students and teachers.
A visit to the school was conducted to hand over musical instruments. During this visit, it was observed that the school performs well academically and organizes activities such as English Day, despite having limited infrastructure facilities. However, the condition of the washrooms, including those used by teachers, was found to be extremely poor and inadequate. Therefore, this project aimed to refurbish the existing twelve toilets to ensure proper sanitation and to provide a safe and hygienic environment that supports the health, dignity, and effective learning of students and staff.
