The school for the deaf operates a salon located inside the school premises to teach deaf children hairdressing to enable them to be later employable. The authorities have planned to obtain the services of a professional teacher and develop the children for NVQ Certification. Thus, the facility needed upgrading and the trust made a financial contribution towards this cause. The Air Force provided the labour and professional renovation skills free of charge. The Disabled Girl Guides Association also provided assistance to the school in this project.
