Project Overview

The Trust donated skin staplers and linear cutter staplers to the cancer unit of Teaching Hospital, Kurunegala, which were essential for conducting cancer-related surgical procedures. The availability of these items significantly supported both patients and medical staff by improving the efficiency and continuity of surgical care. The hospital further noted that this contribution was a great convenience in maintaining the quality of treatment services.

In addition to stapler requirements, the hospital faced challenges in maintaining an adequate supply of certain chemotherapy drugs due to prevailing economic constraints. With the increasing number of cancer patients requiring daily treatment, shortages of critical medications such as Zoledronic acid and Doxorubicin were reported. In response, the Trust extended its support by donating these essential drugs, thereby assisting the hospital in continuing uninterrupted care for patients undergoing treatment.
