Building on a partnership established during the 2024 Sooriyapokuna-Passallavinna, where a connecting bridge was built for the village by the Trust, a request from the principal of Sooriyapokuna Secondary School to support their performing arts curriculum was fulfilled. The trust facilitated the establishment of the school’s Eastern Band through the donation of high-quality musical instruments and official band costumes. This contribution aims to fulfill the resource gap the students in Dehiattakandiya, long felt whilst offering a dedicated platform to develop their musical talents and enhance their school’s cultural presence.
