Project Overview

This project was established to support Ginigathena Central College, located in the Hatton Education Zone of the Nuwara Eliya District, following a formal request from the school. At the time, the school lacked the necessary equipment to facilitate its music and dance curriculum. Specifically, students required traditional instruments such as the Geta Bera, Thammattam, and Horane, as well as specialized Naiyadi costumes to participate in cultural performances and practical lessons.

To address these needs, the Trust donated key traditional instruments, along with twelve complete sets of Naiyadi costumes. This support has strengthened the school’s cultural and performing arts activities, enabling students to actively participate in practical lessons and cultural performances.
