M D C Fernando, a 1st year undergraduate student, had been suffering from Scoliosis for several years. The spinal surgery was performed successfully under the supervision of Dr Wasantha Perera, a specialist orthopedic surgeon at Nawaloka Hospital, Colombo. The trust contributed towards expenses for her treatment.
