The 150th Anniversary Coffee Table Book, titled “The Mystery, The Memory, The Magic,” was officially launched in January 2025 to commemorate the sesquicentennial milestone of Bishop’s College, Colombo. This special limited-edition publication celebrates the rich 150-year legacy of the institution, which was founded in 1857 and has since grown into one of the country’s most respected educational establishments.
Authored by past pupil Savithri Rodrigo, the book presents a compelling narrative of the College’s journey through time, capturing its traditions, achievements, and enduring values. It features engaging stories and reflections from notable individuals, alumni, and members of the school community, offering a heartfelt tribute to the generations who have shaped its history.
Mrs. Vinitha Rodrigo, who was once a teacher at Bishop’s College, had a close personal connection to the institution, which inspired the support extended towards this meaningful project. The launch ceremony was attended by Mr. Deva Rodrigo, Mr. Ruwan Punchihewa, and Mr. Prasanjith Wijayatilake, representing the Tennyson and Vinitha Rodrigo Trust.
