Chandan de Silva (FCA England & Wales and SL) is the non-executive Chairman of Janashakthi Limited (JXG) – a holding company with ownership stakes in Janashakthi Insurance PLC, First Capital Holdings PLC and Janashakthi Finance (formerly Orient Finance) PLC – as well as of Asia Siyaka PLC, a leading brokerage company in the tea industry.

In addition, he serves on the board of three privately owned IT businesses and as an advisor to a family-owned business in the hospitality sector. His specialization is in planning inter-generational transitions, talent management and governance.

He also serves on the board of the Centre for Policy Alternatives (CPA). CPA was set up 30 years ago and the primary role envisaged for the Centre in the field of public policy is a pro-active and interventionary one, aimed at the and advocacy of policy alternatives for non-violent conflict resolution and democratic governance.
