The vision for the trust was set out by Tennyson:
“The Settlor considers himself to be a humanitarian with strong aspirations for his country to become a modern, forward-looking nation in the international arena and is firmly anchored in the belief that schools, universities and other institutions of higher learning have a compelling role and responsibility to discharge as “cathedrals of knowledge and wisdom” entrusted with the role of not only to disseminate knowledge but also create and foster attitudinal change and critical thinking so that education is perceived as a core pillar in creating the next generation of thought leaders and change agents in the community.”
