Project Overview

A 21-year-old patient diagnosed with transfusion dependent Thalassemia from early infancy, has been undergoing regular blood transfusions as part of her long term medical care. Over the years, the frequency of transfusions increased, placing a significant physical and emotional burden on both the patient and her family. As a long term solution, she underwent a bone marrow transplant at HCG Hospital in Bangalore, India. While the procedure was reported to be successful, she subsequently developed medical complications that required continued hospitalization and specialized treatment at the same facility.

The prolonged nature of the treatment and the associated medical expenses created considerable financial strain on the family, who had already exhausted their available resources. An appeal for assistance was made to support the continuation of essential medical care. In response, the Trust extended its support to assist with the ongoing treatment, helping to ensure that the patient received the necessary medical attention during this critical phase of recovery.
