A New Year festival at the W/Kalu/Kaleimagal Tamil Maha Vidyalaya, Matugama Division in Kalutara District. The Trust sponsored the event organized by Brotherhood For Humanity (BFH) was attended by 530 students and 35 teachers in this school. There were games for everyone, acts and dances for entertainment.
Every child was given a pack of stationery items. Lunch and refreshments were provided by the BFH and the parents of the team members.
The children were from estate worker families without much facilities. Due to financial constraints, they have never had such an event in their school. The kids and teachers thus thoroughly enjoyed the day despite the warm weather and more than 50 BFH members too had a wonderful time along with the school community.
